Web Design

Students will examine the fundamental principles of web design, learn the HTML and CSS behind those principles, and, by the end of the session, will be able to construct their own rudimentary website with these tools.

Why It's Useful

Though most modern web development happens in a more complex framework, HTML and CSS as taught in this course are foundational components of those frameworks. This course can help provide students with an understanding of website design principles and can serve as a solid introductory course.

Prerequisite Knowledge

None, though a basic understanding of programming (as taught in the Programming Fundamentals course) may help younger students grasp the very minor logic present in the languages used.
